Tip 894: Categorize the follower's personality and attitude and then adapt your style.
Instruction takers fall into various categories:
"Don't go so fast" types
"I got it; I got it" types
"I don't need instructions" types
"I just don't get it" types
"I'm all thumbs" types
"While I'm thinking about itI've got a question about Barcelona" types
"I'll never need to know that" types
"Who are you to tell me?" types
"Where will you be if I need help?" types
Plan your pep talk, your order, your offer, and your phrasing accordingly.
Tip 895: Pinpoint your own style and modify what doesn't work for you or the other person.

"Then you . . . Oh, I forgot to mention . . . Back to the . . . and while I'm thinking of it . . . Second, you try . . ." types
