The organization provides technical and legal consultation and training to attorneys, judges, mental health workers, law enforcement personnel, and others in areas such as domestic violence, child custody, and other family law issues. It also provides information and support to low-income women and their children in these areas. The group publishes articles, manuals, information packets, handbooks, and a national newsletter and helps draft and prepare legislation and friend-of-the-court briefs in critical cases throughout the United States. |
