"Am I interrupting a personal conversation?"
"So tell me who won todayyou or the lions?"
"Someone told me you were the one to ask about X? I need advice."
"Jim told me to be sure to come talk to you."
"Sherry wanted me to say hello for her."
"It's certainly pretty/noisy/cold/fun in here, isn't it?"
"The atmosphere here reminds me of my junior prom/our last salesconvention/our board meetings."
