The Least You Need to Know
Be honest with your spouse about your reasons for moving on.
Remember that most people get through the most intense part of their grief within a year and go on to experience personal renewal and growth.
Most of the time, separation is a preamble to divorce and not a means of rebuilding the marriage.
Stay in the house until the divorce is final if you have significant property or custodial rights to protect and if you can bear it.
Protect your financial and property interests through any legal means available to you as soon and as strenuously as possible.
If life in the house is intolerable and you want custody of the children, talk to your lawyer about moving out with the children.
