Keep in mind that whatever happens during your conflict resolution, others will eventually know. People talk, and what they say will be their version of the truth. If they have a character weakness, they will control the way others interpret "the facts" by what details they choose to tell and which they omit. Face the frustration that two versions of "what happened" will circulate. |

People bring different backgrounds, values, roles, experiences, and goals to the workplace. All differences cannot be reconciled. Policy A may be bad for Joe and good for Manuel. Alton may define success as plenty of time off the job while Katherine may define success as a fat paycheck. Neither opinionor goalis necessarily wrong. Both may be very right. It's a fact of life difficult to accept but necessary to one's sanity. |
